Talking about Open source, increasing Wifi signal, free online movies and documentaries - K.I.

Now let me talk about some techies here. My My Korean friend last month gave me a good URL for free movies and documentaries called http://tv-links.co.uk/. He said he got the information from a member of his youth group in church. At anyrate I did checked the link and it worked. Now I am seeing good movies without going the rental video shop. The documentaries are good too. You can see a docomentary of Ernesto "Che" Guevarra, Fidel Castro or a movie about Hugo Chavez Revolution Will Not Be Televised.

The other day I went to see to a place where there was wifi signal. I got just two bars, however there is actually a technique to trick the modem so you can get so much signal as you want by using your cellphone and a piece of T1 wire. See the procedure and demo.

Just updated my new wireless signal. I hope to increase the throughput by increasing the antennae. However I did some research I can get more signal in terms of radius by using some modified coffee can plus wrapped in tin foil. Acutally got this idea from a book at Nobles and Barnes.

It was good to hear and see that the CPU had their activity in UP promoting open source and free software. My brother used to install a server here in my house using apache plus SUSE Linux. Though technically servers are a no for cable providers. I had one when I use it to host some websites back home. However I had to cut it given the sophistication of ISP's now a days.

By the way there is a good documentary movie about this open source versus proprietary softwares. Visit this link to watch it and give some feedbacks here.
