Poem of Axel Pinpin a member of the Rural Missionaries of the Philippines

This is a Tagalog version of Axel Pinpin's poem. He was a member of the Rural Missionary of the Philippines when I left the Philippines in 2004 serving Southern Tagalog region helping churches as well as poor farmers in the place. He together with other 4 were illegally picked up by armed military men and were illegally detained in the military camp. We must call for his immediate release as a political detainee. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo must me made answerable to all the political persecution going on now in our country. Note, more poems


Itakas Ninyo Ako

Gaya ng mga Bandolero,
salakayin ninyo ang kampo.
Kung pa’nong noong ika-walo
ng Disyembre, mil nwebe kwatro
sa pamumuno ni Heneral Felizardo
na kasingdulas ng igat
at singpanganib ng itim na musang,
mapanlinlang nilang inatake
ang garison sa Parañaque
habang mga constabulario’y bundat
sa masibang pamimistahan.
Tumangay ang mga tulisan
ng labinlimang carbine,
apat na rebolber
at sandamakmak na punglo.

Gaya ng Hukbong Bayan,
salakayin n’yo ang bilangguan.
Kung pa’nong noong unang buwan
ng taong dalwang libo’t anim
sa pamumuno ng Kumander
na walang ngalan ni apelyido,
na walang tsapa ni ranggo,
mapanlinlang nilang ni-raid
ang Batangas Provincial Jail
habang mga demonio-dela-guardia
ay bundat na nakamulaga.
Tumangay ang mga gerilya
ng anim na pistola
isang automatic shotgun
at siyam na bilanggong politikal .

GMA's ganster in the cabinet are in fact day dreaming - K.I.

One of the things that Gloria and her gangster is afraid is when American people speically when US congresswoman the likes of Ellen Tauscher tells them to stop the killings in the Philippines. I remembered when I was in Washington D.C. for the hearing at the US Senate last March 2007 Gloria, sent her five man delegation, all military, many of which are in the intelligence department back home. Sending her military instead of diplomats sent bad signals to people here to the point that Senator Babara Boxer scolded representative from the State Department irrate about their responses. As elections date is coming near here in the US and the Philippines, representative in congress and senate are becoming sensitive to the calls of the people especially on their districts. Many have also come to realize that to sustain themselves in power they have to accomodate the voices and clamor of people. Among the popular sentiments of ordinary people in the US is to stop the war in Iraq. True, they want to bring home their troops, young people fighting to cover the lies of Bush war in the middle east. This sentiment is becoming stronger. Many ordinary people have been affected, the cutting of social services in favor to fund corporate interest for oil. While Bush is becoming politically isolated do does Gloria and her gangster. Gloria's parroting Bush slogans does not help her. The latest statement of United States congresswoman Ellen Tauscher asking Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to make a “move quickly” against the extrajudicial killings of left-wing political activists by prosecuting those responsible for the crimes have put them in awkward position further unmasks her. Bunyeand the rest of her spin doctors quickly gave out statement to neutralize such calls. The pressures of IPU reps were powerful as well. As the crisis in the world further deepens affecting people’s lives, so does the elites handling of the political situation.Further polarization and violent clashes is happening within the ruling classes. The groundswell of people’s struggle worldwide especially here in the US had indeed contributed to political conditions in the Philippines. As the days move ahead, they are finding ways to sustain their unsustainable political powers. As a matter of fact GMA and her gansters in the cabinet are in fact day dreaming. In no time they will be kick out and the people will.

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, the most corrupt President we have in the Philippines

Suffering from defeats after defeat in the battle front and in the political arena, the Armed Forces of the Philippines led by their commander in chief Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has resorted to more killing of activist in the legal mass movement in the Philippines. Day after day we hear the increasing number of activist and human rights workers killed and ambushed. The latest is the case of a friend of mine who was an aquintance of mine way back in the 80’s in Cebu City, Nilo Arado. We used to meet during conferences and meetings as I was working with the Farmers Development Center, an non-government organization helping the poor in the rural areas in Central Visayas. I condemn the abduction of Nilo from the deepest abyss in my heart knowing the person is so committed in helping the poor especially peasants. Liars in the military have concocted a story line that runs, '35 New Peoples Army are deployed in Panay in order to kill people including the likes of Nilo'. This damned military propagandists are cowards who engross themselves insulting the public. These monster like people are taught by the most notable liar in the cabinet of Gloria Mr. Norberto Gonzales which enjoys whispering and shouting to the public and had taken close cue following advises coming from his godfather Mafioso priest, Romeo Intengan. These people runs the government like a gangster, sending their assassins, killing innocent and unarmed civilians opposed to their most corrupt and isolated regime. These barefaced puppet of the US imperialism the likes of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, has been assured by their local resident US point person, Fidel Ramos that such moves to quell the people’s movement with an iron fist and underhanded campaign of killings and abduction, of tortures and assassination are the right moves to insure her stay in power as well as insure US interest in the country. Not surprising enough two days ago she issued international statement with no effect such as her condemnation to the killings of students in Virginia, like a crying wolf. She had not issued any single statement before condemning the brutal murder of Bishop Ramento in his rectory in Tarlac. These are the type of presidents that is much condemnable in the eyes of the public, a puppet who’s only concern is to cuddle US interest, a parrot to the slogans that Bush makes and is moronically proud to be one.

Now election time is coming -- May 14. Attacks are done by her military against progressive parties such as Bayan Muna, Gabriela, Anakpawis, Kabataan, Suara to name a few to neutralize them winning in the elections. She had deployed her fascist military gangsters in Metro Manila, among the urban poor slum dwellers knowing that it is where the working class are strong, it is where the poor are living -- the poor actively calling for her ouster. What she is afraid of is one thing-- the propability of an impending uprising if worst comes to worst, (though it is worst now) coming from the marginalized people living in slums in the heart of the capital district of Manila.

Projecting as fierce as a tiger, she is likened to a paper mae one. Her efforts are all inutile. She is more isolated every damn reaction she does in public. She has simply survived because of two things. One she insures she get all the money she wants bribing her way to insure loyalty. Second she makes up stories, telling the public that she condemns the killings. As a policy of conducting disinformation it is no surprise that the military also is the helm of doing it. Be it putting to an innocent child acidentally killed by them with an M16 in his hand and tell the public that the NPA's are recruiting the young or even to the point of digging other graves and gather the bones to one place claiming that a purge by the revolutionary movement has been discovered. Such acts are dastart acts. Only people with no conscience do that. Gloria of course at the helm.
