Plain hypocrisy and lies in the military's tirades at Rep. Satur Ocampo

The National Democratic Front-Eastern Visayas today slammed the 8th Infantry Division for mendaciously and hypocritically calling on Rep. Satur Ocampo to "confess". "Military mouthpiece Capt. Mario Jose Chico is twice a liar for calling on Rep. Satur Ocampo to confess to crimes he never committed, based on the evidence of so-called "mass graves" in Inopacan, Leyte that is in fact a hoax in which the 8th ID had a hand in making up," said Fr. Santiago Salas, NDF-EV spokesperson. "It smacks of arrogance and it is a gross insult to the people that the military could hound Ocampo for allegedly committing crimes in 1984 in Leyte, when he was actually in the Marcos dictatorship's gulag until 1985. Thus, the Arroyo regime and its armed forces are in a worse state than the obliviousness alluded to by United Nations special rapporteur Philip Alston. They are completely above sanity and decency, for despite evidence and witnesses in the real issue of their slaughter of journalists and political activists, they are orchestrating that extrajudicial killings are tied to the slur that the communists had been killing each other time and again."

The NDF-EV spokesperson furthermore said that the charges against Ocampo and 51 others in relation to the Inopacan "mass graves" are bound to blow up in the faces of their accusers. "There are no mass graves in Inopacan or elsewhere except in the ghoulish imagination of the Arroyo regime and its military. It has been previously exposed that there have been various attempts at such wholesale fabrication in Southern Luzon, Central Visayas and Mindanao, culminating for now in the military's elaborate setting up of their so-called "evidence" and coercion or duping of witnesses in Leyte. Thus the overlaying aboveboardness of the legal proceedings against Ocampo and others cannot conceal their real nature of being an anticommunist witchhunt fueled by hogwash and sensationalism.

"The reason why the Arroyo regime and the military wants Rep. Ocampo in Leyte is not to make him face justice but a lynch mob. The 43rd Infantry Battalion has instigated a climate of fear by spreading anticommunist propaganda and mobilizing vigilantes in Hilongos, Leyte where Ocampo was supposed to be detained. When Rep. Ocampo was to be forcibly brought to Leyte last March 19, Capt. Chico was even spotted at the Tacloban airport overseeing the anticommunist rally by their assets in the Alliance for Nationalism and Democracy led by Jun Alcover."

Fr. Salas explained that the military's propaganda bluster in the persecution of Rep. Ocampo had the darker motives of the counterrevolutionary campaign Oplan Bantay Laya II. "The Arroyo regime and the military are hell-bent on exacerbating the fascist state terrorism begun with Oplan Bantay I. A worse bloodbath is ahead despite international condemnation, including the current proceedings of the Permanent People's Tribunal, of extrajudicial killings in the country. The military is physically eliminating the members of the progressive party-list and other democratic mass organizations, as well as actively disenfrachising progressive involvement in the current election campaign. This is because the Arroyo regime is committed to railroading the triumphalist two-year timetable of Oplan Bantay Laya II by inflicting ever more atrocities against the revolutionary movement along with the democratic mass movement, the broad opposition, and the people."

Fr. Salas called on the people to be vigilant and actively resist the state of terror that the Arroyo regime and the military want to impose and emphasize today by political killings and other attacks on the people's rights. "It is emblematic that at the time Rep. Ocampo was undergoing his ordeal, the Arroyo regime and the military were gloating at the absolution of their butcher, retired Gen. Jovito Palparan, by the Commission on Human Rights. There is no justice under this regime. It is the people who should mete justice on the puppet, corrupt and fascist regime through their vigorous armed and unarmed resistance until it is overthrown."#

Diversionary scheme of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo against international pressure against the extra-judicial killings in the Philippines- K.I.

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has sanctioned the militarization that is happening in Metro Manila. The military junta that she instituted has acted as if the country is now a wild, wild west town. Gloria had diverted the international pressure and investigation against extra-judicial killings by hatching a grand diversion and cover starting with the abduction of Party List representative Satur Ocamp. The military lead by the cabinet committee led by Ermita and the rest of the fascist gangster in Malacanang has hurled made up stories that fascist scumbag Norberto Gonzales has coached and concocted. Now, you see the military in Manila, among areas where Bayan Muna is strong. But the military of Gloria has a quick answer. To deter communist! This is an old Marcos propaganda in the 70’s recycled all over again. But Gloria Macapagal Arroyo cannot escape public call for her to stop curtailing people’s freedom. She cannot rationalize her stay in power by attacking people by labeling them “enemies of the state” as if Gloria is the state? While she is now so politically isolated and has instructed her top diplomats to play up with the idea of economic success insinuating democratic rule, she had furthered made herself foolish. How moronic are her military advisers when they have sent her top Generals to the US in time of Senator Boxer’s investigation at the Foreign Relations committee instead of her top diplomats. This had furthered sent the message that indeed the country is ruled by Generals and is so militarized to the point that even the state department representatives had a hard time defending Gloria and present US policy in supporting her debunking their claim that the country is democratic.

As isolation is affecting Gloria and the impending evaluation and cutting of US military aid, likely she now opts to further take a firm iron grip against the opposition. The only way Gloria know to sustain herself in power are two things. Bribe people thus yesterday she had signed a trillion budget for her government and second open caged killer dogs and let them roam. Of course her favorite killer and butcher petdog General Palparan will have his immunity. He will be running under an anti-communist partylist ANAD backed by Gloria. Now I suggest ANAD and PDSP should be merged into one with Jun Alcover and Norberto Gonzales singing in crescendo their anti communist song in duet tagging everybody against them as “enemies of the state” with Fr. Romeo Integan playing the piano. But of course everybody will shut their ears with the repeated lies they are telling the public.

The fascist government of Gloria is sharpening their claws and fangs to kill people -K.I.

One day have passed after the signing of the anti-terrorism bill into law, Bayan Muna's partylist representative Satur Ocampo has an arrest order. This is in chorus with the efforts of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's lunatic advisers Norberto Gonzales and Raul Gonzalez of disabling Ocampo of a high profile campaign in the upcoming May elections. The lunatic Norberto for his part is making stories against Bayan Muna only to push his fascist organization the PDSP in the limelight. He is making his personal business of attacking Bayan Muna and all the rest of outspoken partylists against Gloria claiming they are all communist fronts. This propaganda has been repeated to answer the findings of the United Nations that GMA is liable of the killings happening in the country. While the fascist regime of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is sharpening her fangs and teeth, it will be up for the Filipinos to determine their destinies. They have all experienced how it is to be under a dictatorship during Marcos time. Now they are still having it in a more sophisticated manner, that is having the elements of Martial law but not necessarily labeling it as is.

Gloria's hands are itching to sign the Anti- Terror Bill and attack the people against her - K.I.

What is in store for us with the passing of the anti- terror bill is more terror by the fascist regime of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Gloria is a hurry now in signing this into law. One, she will use this as a pretext to attack the opposition in a manner that constricts them thus ensuring stay in power. The timing is sinister enough. It is timed on the occasion of the elections. She wants to insure that apologist will be installed as the  majority in congress, evading  impending impeachment.  The ATB stipulations are clear. It means suspension of rights, arbitrary detention without court sanction and tagging those against her as "terrorists". With the passing of this law, Macapagal Arroyo and her small coterie of followers have put themselves had succeeded themselves making  new reasons to quell political movement against her. In a latent fashion she had succeeded putting the country in a state of martial rule with her  fascist generals playing key role in her government. This is also the most palatable food she had offered to her attack dogs in the military. Fast enough this law they will devour the people, those against her. But for sure they are ready for this.
